Amergis Staffing is partnered with a much respected school in Methuen, MA who are currently seeking a Special Education Teacher to assist them on a contractual basis.Details of the position include: Locations: Methuen, MAStart: New teacher orientation Aug 21 - 22 First day of school staff Aug 27th First day of school students Aug 28 Duration: '24-'25 School YearSchedule: Varies based on school hours- -Upper Schools 8:45a - 2:15p -Lower Schools 8:30a - 3:30p -Early ed varies Details: Working as a special education teacher in the Methuen Public Schools Pathways program Pathways is a program primarily focused on supporting students with Austism, both through inclusion and substantially sub separate programs. (Most positions in this case are subsep). Designed for students who require intensive intervention on their IEPs. Program is highly routine, utilizes systematic instruction, skills broken into smaller steps, individualized and modified curriculum. Focuses on academics, social skills, self regulation, with focus on replacing interfering behaviors. Special educator to work cross collaboratively with interdisciplinary team. Write IEP goals and objectives, chart progress, and report on findings in IEP meetings. Lesson planning, classroom management, ect. Requirements:
MA DESE Special Education Moderate or Severe Disabilities Licensure in K - 8
SEI endorsement
School CORI and FPs
